Ich übernehme Verfahren vor Österreichs Gerichten und den europäischen Gerichtshöfen, mit besonderer Expertise in Grundrechtsverfahren vor dem Europäischen Gerichtshof für Menschenrechte. Meine Schwerpunkte: Klima- und Umweltrecht mit Fragen der Energiewende, Verfassungs- und Menschenrechte sowie Bildungsrecht für Schulen mit neuen pädagogischen Konzepten.I help individuals, initiatives, and organizations see the law for what it can be: a lever for change. I represent clients before Austria's courts as well as the European courts, with particular expertise in fundamental-rights litigation before the European Court of Human Rights. My focus areas: climate and environmental law with questions of the energy transition, constitutional and human rights, and education law for schools with new pedagogical concepts.

Über michAbout me

Ich bin angestellte Rechtsanwältin der Kanzlei Krömer in St. Pölten. Nach dem Studium der Rechtswissenschaften in Wien, Nottingham und an der Harvard Law School (LL.M.) habe ich mich auf jene Rechtsfragen spezialisiert, die keinen Aufschub kennen: die Klimakrise, den Schutz von Umwelt und Biodiversität, und die Grundrechte künftiger Generationen. Seit 2015 gehöre ich der Kanzlei an, seit 2017 bin ich eingetragene Rechtsanwältin.

Recht ist für mich ein Werkzeug. Es lässt sich bewegen, wenn man bereit ist, gründlich, mit Tiefgang und mit langem Atem daran zu arbeiten. Diese Überzeugung trägt auch meine Arbeit.

2021 wurde ich für mein Engagement mit dem Grundrechtspreis der Liga für Menschenrechte ausgezeichnet; der Falter bezeichnete mich als „Österreichs prominenteste Klimaanwältin". Über meine Arbeit wird national wie international berichtet. Ich stehe regelmäßig als Speakerin für Vorträge und Podiumsdiskussionen zur Verfügung und bin ebenso oft zu Gast in Podcasts zu diesen Themen.

I am an attorney at the Krömer law firm in St. Pölten. After studying law in Vienna, Nottingham, and at Harvard Law School (LL.M.), I specialized in the legal questions that admit no delay: the climate crisis, the protection of the environment and biodiversity, and the fundamental rights of future generations. I have been with the firm since 2015, and a registered attorney since 2017.

For me, the law is a tool. It can be moved, if you're willing to work at it with depth and thoroughness, and for the long haul. That conviction also shapes my work.

In 2021, I received the Fundamental Rights Award of the Austrian League for Human Rights for my work; Falter magazine described me as Austria's most prominent climate lawyer. My work receives national and international media coverage. I'm regularly available as a speaker for talks and panel discussions, and just as often a guest on podcasts covering these topics.

Sie reicht von strategischen Verfahren (impact litigation) vor dem Verfassungsgerichtshof, dem Europäischen Gerichtshof für Menschenrechte und dem Gerichtshof der Europäischen Union (EuGH) über die rechtlichen Baustellen der Energiewende bis zum Schutz von Naturwäldern und biologischer Vielfalt. I bring comprehensive expertise in climate and environmental law. It ranges from strategic impact litigation before the Constitutional Court, the European Court of Human Rights, and the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU), to the unresolved legal questions of the energy transition, to the protection of natural forests and biodiversity.

Grundrechtsfragen ziehen sich durch nahezu jeden meiner Fälle: Gleichheit vor dem Gesetz, Planbarkeit und Rechtssicherheit für Investitionen, der Schutz von Kinderrechten und die Frage, wie sich Rechte, die auf dem Papier stehen, tatsächlich einfordern lassen. Einen Schwerpunkt bildet dabei meine Expertise in Verfahren vor dem Europäischen Gerichtshof für Menschenrechte (EGMR).Fundamental-rights questions run through nearly every case I take on: equality before the law, predictability and legal certainty for investment, the protection of children's rights, and the question of how rights that exist on paper can actually be enforced. A particular focus of mine is litigation before the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR).

In 2020, I founded CLAW – Initiative for Climate Law, and chaired it until the end of 2025. CLAW supports my strategic climate cases organizationally, financially, and with legal expert opinions.

Die Honorargestaltung ist transparent. Je nach Umfang und Art des Verfahrens rechne ich auf Stundenbasis, im Pauschalarrangement oder nach dem Rechtsanwaltstarifgesetz (RATG) ab.

Die konkreten Konditionen bespreche ich mit Ihnen vor Übernahme des Mandats und halte sie schriftlich fest.

Fees are structured transparently. Depending on the scope and nature of the case, I bill on an hourly basis, as a fixed-fee arrangement, or according to the Austrian Attorneys' Tariff Act (RATG).

I discuss the specific terms with you before taking on the mandate and confirm them in writing.
